You might call me a country pumpkin but although it’s easily found in places like NTUC, I’ve never tried it once until now.
It’s super yummy!
Lots been happening in the office nowadays. Been busy helping to do Salary Increment letters and Bonus letters, had to re-do them a couple of times cause the new bosses couldn’t decide who should sign them. After checking them, I had to fold them then put them into envelops then sort them out into departments to be easily distributed. Been running around the office like crazy helping to move stuff and all, and by the time I’m home I’m dead tired.
Got a phonecall from the parents while out with the usual group of people yesterday, talked about applying to Aussie unis to study Nursing but to do that I’ll probably have to take up a bank loan. Boo. And during the time I was on the phone, Hyun Jae was banging the table with my green tea can. He helped me open the can but ended up playing with my drink by pouring it from high up, causing green tea to get all over the table. And I couldn’t say anything to protest cause I was the on the phone with the parents. Dad’s doing good too and they’ll be back in April for his doctor’s appointment.
After dinner, Naph suggested that we could go to Emerald Hill but we ended up at Emily Hill, then Little India and then Bugis. We practically walked from Dhoby Ghaut all the way to Bugis. And while walking we even managed to spot Suntec City. I could have died. Ok, not literally but it was a workout for me considering the many years I’ve not been doing P.E. meaning I’ve not been exercising for years! We were all perspiring when we got to Bugis, and we didn’t even intend to go to Bugis in the first place!
I even went online to look at the map to find out exactly how far we walked, and how-in-the-world did we end up at Bugis since I didn’t think Dhoby Ghaut and Bugis would be considered nearby, like walking distance. And we walked pretty far!
See, we started out at Dhoby Ghaut and ended up at Bugis. That’s pretty far! The arrows may not show the exact route we took but we did end up at Emily Hill then walked through Mount Emily Park, passed by the Istana, reached Little India and ended up at Bugis, cooling ourselves down at Ice Monster with Mango Ice. The Emerald Hill plan was abandoned promptly.
Singapore may be small, but it’s not that small! We’re just smaller compared to other countries. That’s all, really. But to walk, it’s still effing far.
And I almost couldn’t wake up for church today, think the walk was far too tiring for me, haha. Angel was supposed to go watch Untraceable with me today, but she pang seh. ):
Have to wake up early tomorrow. Bleah.
