JT and her Ant friend came to visit! It’s heaps exciting as they came armed with Krispy Kreme donuts as well as stuff from Singapore that I got my parents to pass to JT.

How to survive a boring lecture

12 06 2009
Hello turtle, tortoise, whatever you are.

Hello turtle, tortoise, whatever you are.

Some times, we do things to keep ourselves awake during boring lectures. For example, doodling on your coursemate’s notebook and sending her into piles of laughter in the middle of a lecture. Above, is AA’s masterpiece.

Long time no see

23 05 2009

Skyped with M last night after I got back from OCF. And a little with N before she had to go offline to take a call from her family back home.

M back in Singapore for her summer break

Sorry M, I had to steal a shot. Hehehe.

Wanna Skype, anyone? :)

Gotta love the weekend

17 05 2009

Weekends are great because you’re finally getting a break from school! I just got back from Horsham. A small country town in the state of Victoria in Australia. One of my housemate is from there, so we paid a visit to his hometown! Plus he wanted to go back to replenish his supply of frozen home cooked food from his mum. Her cooking is awesome…

It was a 5 hour drive from Adelaide to Horsham. AM and J took turns driving us there. My butt was sore by the time we got there. But road trips are fun! Anyway, by the time we got to Horsham, it was about 7pm. It was dinner then a campfire, cozying around the fire we spent the night chatting and discussing our plans for the weekend. We couldn’t do much, so it was off to bed after we finished watching Superbad.

Woke up bright and early for breakfast, then a shower and then off to the farm! I got to ride a horse! And because I’m vertically challenged, I had to have the help of Hills to get me onto the horse combined with lots of screaming from me. I couldn’t help it. Wish I knew how to ride a horse. AM’s grandparents were really friendly, and his grandfather was really enthusiastic in introducing the farm animals to this Singapore suaku girl. He was so excited that I finally got to pet a chicken and have it so close to my face that I could kiss it! And then the guys proceeded to teach us how to shoot with a rifle. Yup, a real live and loaded one.

Aim, fire!

Cuts & bruises

4 05 2009

I’m getting more cuts than ever. How is it that every time a pair of scissors or a knife ends up in my hands I somehow get cut? Some times I don’t even know how it happens. It’s like, the next thing I know, I’m bleeding and the wound hurts. Gah, plus, to prove how much I’m getting cut these days, I’m running low on the box of plasters that I brought from Singapore that used to be full. I’m left with only one plaster now. Sigh.

Anyways, my Easter break was a good one. Went for Easter camp by OCF and then hopped onto a plane to Brisbane to meet up with H and A. It was awesome to see them again. It’s been so long!

From AA

7 04 2009

:)

AAs surprise to me

It's for me!

You made the surprise sound scary because you said it was a surprise of AA’s sense! Haha. I was like ‘What surprise?? What has it got to do with the piano picture?’ And then a huge ‘OOHHH~’ sounded in my head when you handed me this. Anyway, thanks. It’s a good thing there’s you or else I wouldn’t know how to survive. Like, transcription. Omg. We can both die together for that. Haha. We’re so dead. Eeks.

Oh no, I’m craving for ice cream. Gah.

We ♥ food!

9 03 2009

When Singaporeans come together overseas, what happens? WE EAT! Yay! So where there are Singaporeans, there is bound to be food. Woohoo! Me and AA attempted to cook chicken rice with the help of the Prima Deli chicken rice box pastes, and it turned out to be pretty decent chicken rice despite the fact that we thought we were going to fail! The chicken we bought was so fat, we had to cut so much of the visible fat off. Heart attacking inducing I tell you.

CHICKEN RICE!

CHICKEN RICE!

Anyway, besides our chicken rice adventure, we had a potluck at KJ’s place. It was so, so yummy (I made curry!). We love food! Haha. And we tried to get Tim to dance but he ended up singing instead. Oh well. Stayed and chatted and laughed and watched a movie till midnight. Almost turned into a popsicle on the way back to campus. And when I got back, instead of going to bed. I ended staying up playing Guitar Hero and Grand Theft Auto with my housemates. Awesome fun. What a way to spend my long weekend eh? (Yeah, it’s a public holiday here today in Adelaide. Adelaide Cup day!)
