Snail invasion!

An army of snails have decided to swarm our unit’s patio. We’ve noticed them appearing over the rainy period while the weather was transiting between winter and spring. They’re this really tiny snails, but there’s so many of them! And the main reason we started noticing the increasing amount is because it was difficult to step out onto the patio and not step on them. We felt so bad for accidentally killing them! And the feeling of their shells being squished beneath your feet isn’t really the best feeling either. Like, eeeww….! I’ve got snail guts on my shoes now. Not fun. And it’s not even like you end up accidentally killing one snail, one step sort of kills about three, because they’re just all over the place and it’s difficult to avoid stepping them.

It’s been sunny the past few days, and not to mention warm. A little too warm in fact. I’ve been tossing and turning in my bed, having trouble falling asleep because of the heat. The weather finally cooled down a little today because of the rain. And also because of the rain, the snails have started migrating up our patio again.

More snails

Even more snails!

Making it's way up the screen door

So they kinda make their way towards the unit, and then once they reach the unit, they make their way up our doors. The snails weren’t here last year. I find it strange that we’re getting them this year, like, where do they even come from?!

And I’ve finally finished my last exam paper today! I can finally do other things besides study, without feeling guilty 🙂

Time to start packing too. Eeeks.

There are big ones here too. Just… not on our unit’s patio. Hahaha. The poor snail that ALMOST got away. It should have set out 3 hours earlier. Haha.
